Condition Treated

At Davis Family Chiropractic, serving Little Chute, Fox Valley, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Appleton, Neenah, and surrounding Outagamie County and Brown County areas, our chiropractor treats patients for disorders that cause musculoskeletal pain. Some of these conditions are caused by repetitive motion or poor workplace ergonomics, while others are the result of trauma experienced in a car accident or a sports injury. Other conditions like degenerative disc disease are a consequence of the aging process. Here are some of the conditions that our chiropractor provides wellness care and treatment for:

  • Neck Pain
  • Back Pain
  • Prenatal Care
  • Pediatric Conditions
  • Vertebral Subluxations:  This condition involves the misalignment of one or more spinal vertebrae and the loss in function caused by this. Subluxation leads to pressure on spinal nerves, causing pain, muscle tightness, and impaired motion. Gentle spinal adjustments coupled with therapeutic stretching, trigger point therapy, and electronic muscle stimulation can resolve the pain and discomfort of vertebral subluxations.
  • Headaches & Migraines: Many patients complain of headaches that originate at the base of the skull and work their way around the temples to the forehead. Nerves and joints surrounding the neck muscles are often behind these headaches. Chiropractic care is an effective method of treating cervicogenic headaches. Following chiropractic care, headaches are less intense and last for a shorter duration
  • Sciatica: The sciatic nerve begins at both sides of the lower spine and runs across each hip and down the legs into each foot. Most often, sciatica is caused by a vertebral subluxation in the lower spine that compresses the sciatic nerve and causes intense burning pain that radiates down one leg. Our chiropractor uses several gentle chiropractic techniques and adjunctive therapies to reposition a displaced vertebra and relax the muscles surrounding it to relieve sciatic nerve pressure.
  • Piriformis Syndrome: The piriformis muscle is located above the sciatic nerve. If it cramps or goes into spasm, it compresses and agitates the sciatic nerve. Chiropractic treatment includes muscle stretching and relaxation release cramps and spasms and provides relief from piriformis syndrome.
